In Music we have starte to learn to play the Ocarina. We have to wear them around our necks with the holes facing upwards. We must only play the ocarina when we are invited to play and we make a 'ttt' sound behind our teeth. Today we learnt to play a high D, low D, E and B.

In Numeracy we have been learning about capacity. We have been exploring how many pots it takes to fill different containers and how to make it a fair test. We looked at the different levels the liquid reached depending on the size and shape of the containers - there were a few surprises! We also learned why measuring cylinders have the ml markers at equal distances apart and that 1000ml = 1 litre.
This is something all the children could share with you at bath times!
We love our new topic based on the question 'Where Will The Magic Key Take You?'
Grace, Laura, Finley and Owen imagined they were adults cooking a roast dinner. The role play area holds endless possibilities and we can't wait to hear about other adventures the children discover.
