Class 3 Homework Project
to be given in Monday 22nd May 2017
Spellings- please see the Look Say Cover Write Check sheet given out every Monday to practise at home ready for each Friday’s test. This will continue each week this term.
After the success and positive feedback of our last project homework, I would like children over the next 5 weeks to:
Anglo-Saxons Research and Art Project-
Your task is to produce something in written and art form about The Anglo-Saxons
Written ideas: you could write a poem; a letter; a diary entry; a story; an information booklet.
Art work: you could draw/paint a picture; create a collage; create a 3D piece of art; use clay, etc
Again, if you have any questions, please see Mrs Upsall or Mrs Furnell.
Please do NOT leave doing this project until the last week- aim to do a little every week. If you would like to show me your work in progress, please bring it in whenever you like.
Parents- please support your child to get the most out of this project. The more you are involved, the more they will get out of it. If you are unsure, Google or the BBC schools website is a great place to start for ideas.
Presentation to Parents and the School:
We will showcase our projects to the children in the other classes during the last week of term. We would like to present our work to parents during the afternoon of our Anglo-Saxons day in June (hopefully 14th June- TBC) when we will invite parents in for the afternoon to work on a range of activities with their child.
Don’t forget to continue to practise your times tables EVERY week- the only way they get easier is with regular short bursts of practise!

Mathletics- keep trying to get 1000 points each week to get your certificate!
