Our Final Day of Fun and Sad Farewells
A HUGE thank you for all the treats for our chocolate fountain and all the games that were sent in to play. Thank you also for all the lovely gifts that were send in for Mrs Furnell and myself.
We had such a great last day together. Have fun over the summer! See you again in September.
Den Building Day!
Wow what a fantastic day! I do not think we have ever had so many dads and grandads in school putting their DIY skills to excellent use! It was great to see so many mums and other family members come to our picnic too. It really was one of those feel good moments when everyone just seemed to be relaxed and having a lovely time. The children were amazing. Thank you to everyone who was able to support us.
With den building, Sports Day and our Anglo-Saxon day this term, we really are very lucky to have so many parents able to join us for our community events. Thank you!
As part of our Light and Shadows work, we have been investigating how shadows caused by the sun change through the day. We have also investigated which materials let light through the most using the data loggers, using the best material to make sunglasses.
Thank you to everyone who came to support us on Wednesday afternoon. The weather was glorious and the sports were good fun!
We had our first transition afternoon on Monday and are pleased to report that everything went really well! We have two more Monday afternoon sessions and a Tuesday morning session before the end of term.
The Summer Fayre
Thank you to everyone who supported our class stalls on Saturday afternoon. AND a HUGE well done to all the class members who ran the stalls! You were amazing.
We were amazed to see how teeming with life our school pond is when we went dipping this week. We even found a newt!
What a great morning for a little taster of archery! It was great fun and everyone was able to watch their skills develop. Well done to Leighton and Gabrielle who were chosen by our instructor for showing great team work skills and focus.
Well done to all the children who braved the heat to join in so well at the Mini Olympics. You represented our school extremly well!
Our Anglo-Saxon Day
A huge thank you to all the parents who joined in our activities- the children really enjoyed welcoming you into class again and helping you to put your art skills to good use! We are glad so many of you enjoyed our cooking too, with special thanks to Mrs Bull for giving up her whole day to support us with this.
Wow! What a fantastic achievement for our Year 3/4 Tennis Team- the winning trophy! Congratulations to you all.

Don't forget to join us from 1:30 for our Anglo-Saxon day in class to help with lots of different art activities! It will also be a chance to look at work we have done this term, including our homework projects, and to try some of our Anglo-Saxon cooking! Pre-school siblings are welcome if you are unable to get any childcare. Please be warned though, there will be craft knives, paint and clay out.
