Newark Air Museum Visit
During our visit to Newark Air Museum we took part in the National Big Draw event. In the morning we enjoyed looking around part of the museum and sketching items of interest.
Then we worked with artist Ruth Pigott to each recreate part of our favourite sketch using liquid chalk.
Whilst looking around the museum we were able to sit in a helicopter and the cockpits of planes.
After lunch we worked with artist Kathleen Smith. We created a piece of art that could, using our imaginations, be used to change or alter an event in time.
We carried out investigations to discover whether the size of shadows are affected by the distance of the object from the light source.
Science - Investigating Light
We have been carrying out investigations to see how light travels.
Drawing characters from books written by David Walliams.
We have been learning to draw in the style of Quentin Blake and Tony Ross who have both illustrated books written by David Walliams. We began by drawing a character called Barbara following step by step instructions.
We then practised drawing a different character the results were fantastic.
